9 months old!

So dang cute!

Liam is 9 months old and is moving machine! Now that he has learned to crawl he is all over the place and into everything. Everyone made fun of me for wanting my baby to crawl, they kept saying I'd regret it and everything. I actually love it! Of course it is more work and if there is any little piece of paper or something on the floor he will find it and try to eat it but he is SOOOO much happier it makes it all worth it.

Liam had his 9 month doctors appointment and everything looks fantastic. He is 19.5lbs with is only the 30th percentile for weight. Everyone says he's heavy but it is because he is so solid, not fat! He is 28 3/4inches tall, which is the 68th percentile! I hope he continues this trend and is tall and skinny just like his daddy! People tell me his hands are huge which apparently means he will be a big boy but we will see! The pediatrician, Dr. Jesse Fox, was shocked and how good of an eater he is. I told him he usually eats an egg and clementine for breakfast, baby food for lunch and then whatever I am having for dinner he has. He said, "well thanks! now I don't have anything to talk to you about. Most kids aren't eating table food yet". That shocked me because Liam would much rather eat table food then baby food, which I don't blame him. Baby food stinks! The doc gave him a clean bill of health and we didn't have to get any shots this time! The year appointment won't be fun but oh well.
Waiting patiently at his appointment!

Ever since Liam learned to crawl he has been one big bum and bruise. I seriously feel like people will think I am abusing my child but in reality he is abusing himself without me being able to stop it. The latest causality is this nice fat lip! He was crawling around with remote in his hand (because his toys aren't enough he has to play with the remote too!) when he was trying to crawl to fast with something in his hand and tipped over. He started bawling and I couldn't figure out why! He had barely bumped his mouth on the remote. It should be something he is used to. When I picked him up though I found the reason for the tears. He mouth was full of blood and his lip was already swollen and bruising. I hurried to clean it out and hold ice to it but a 9month old will not allow that! He stopped crying pretty quickly and then went back to playing but had this fat lip for several days. I guess getting 8 teeth so young has many disadvantages, one being when you bump your mouth your teeth can cut you and give you a big fat lip! He is still as handsome as ever though :)
My first fat lip!

Liam LOVES Honda. He loves to crawl over to him and climb all over his body. He plays with his paws and ears and tail. I try to keep him from pulling his hair but I'm not always successful. Honda tolerates it and if annoyed he gets up and walks away. Honda will be grateful for the warmer weather so he can hangout outside without Liam being able to bother him so much. Once Liam is walking I think they will become the best of friends. I love these pictures of them because even though Honda gets annoyed, he is also the first one to the door to get Liam up from his nap and the first one there when Liam is crying!
I love this pic. The stare down :)

Liam stealing Honda's toy again and Honda trying not to let it go!
Now that our little boy is so mobile he has turned into a bigger spaz. I love looking over and seeing the trouble he is getting into and how crazy he is being. He thinks he is so hilarious which makes me laugh even harder. He is so cute and copies Honda by carrying stuff in his teeth. I hope to always encourage creativity and craziness and encourages him to stay little instead of pushing him to grow up.
My crazy cute little man!

Liam learned to crawl up the stairs way to quickly. I was thinking Honda would be able to escape up in our room but that didn't last. The week after he learned to crawl he learned the stairs. No escape possible! He is so cute but I think he will be a little dare devil one day. When he sees something he wants he goes after it!

Taylor is in the middle of his very busy season at work and so we don't get to see him a ton and Taylor doesn't always get lunch. Well since we were out and about we decided to take dad lunch and this was the result. I don't know if we will go back to dad's dirty office until he can walk or until he is older. But the pictures from the trouble he got into are super cute!
Cords are my favorite toy. I don't think it tasted very good though!

Look how funny I am mom!

Liam crawls everywhere now. He loves to crawl all over the furniture, Honda, and the kitchen. His favorite room to get into is the bathroom where Honda's food and water dish is. I have tried everything to discourage and discipline him from getting into it but nothing works so I know just keep the door closed at all times. I leave it closed but not latched so if Honda is inside the bathroom he can still get out.  Liam is such a little monster when it comes to the dog food though so rather then get angry and fight him on it, I took the temptaion away.

sneaking into the bathroom
Dog food is delicious apparently

One of the best moments of the day is when Taylor comes home and Liam gets so very excited. He squeals and tries to get to him as soon as he can. When these two are playing my heart melts to pieces. It is one of my favorite times of life because I truly believe life doesn't get much better then family!

My other favorite thing that Liam is doing right now is his squeals of excitement. He has always done this in some form or another but it is getting more animated and pronounced as he gets older. It makes me laugh every single time he does it because I know he is super happy and excited!

It is really hard to believe that my little boy has only been crawling for 1 month. It feels so normal and natural now. I try to stop and remember each day that all of this is new to him. Even though it may frustrate me that he is getting into and eating the dog food, it is just something new and fun to play with and try. Yes he is a stinker and he deliberatly disobeys me sometimes but I still love him. I try to use a tone of voice with him when he is getting into trouble so I don't have to say "no" or "stop it" so much. I don't want him yelling them back at me! But when I use this tone, most of the time he turns and gives me his mischevous smile and then goes right back at it.

I think this little boy is seriously going to give me heartburn my entire life but I love him anyway. He push every button in my body somedays but then he gives me one little smile or snuggle and melts my heart. I love this little man and really wish I could freeze him at this age. He is mobile, happy, curious, but still cute and little! I can't believe he will be a year old soon!

Love you little man!

8 months!

Liam is officially 8 months old. I cannot believe that he can grow this fast! Seriously it is so hard sometime realizing that he is not going to be little for long.

The biggest news of 8 months is Liam finally said mum. I'll admit, I said it to him all the time wanting him to say my name first :) and he finally did. It is so fun to hear him in the other room just saying mum over and over again. I know one day I will wish he didn't say my name so much but for now I love it :) He is so cute when he says it too, it's just a blast!

Other big news of 8 months old is..... Liam learned to CRAWL! Finally!!! I have been practicing his crawling and trying so hard to help him learn for 2 months now. He has been so frustrated and angry because he is stuck on his belly but he finally got it.  It was kind of shocking because I was sitting on the couch working on a few things and out of the corner of my eye I saw Liam take two hand movements forward! I was shocked and didn't know if I saw what I thought I saw. I immediately stopped what I was doing and went and kept testing out this new ability. Of course I used food to help motivate him to move. I used little treats called Puffs and placed them in a line. Slowly he'd crawl forward and get each one. I was so excited and cheered each time he did it. He thought he was a superhero from all my cheering.

Liam learned to crawl on February 4th, which is only 3 days before he turned 9 nine months. This was also the day Taylor left for the auction so he missed Liam's first crawl but we face timed on the phone so he could see it. We were both so glad he finally got it and is so much happier now.

Other happenings of 8 months were we got 2 more teeth so now he has a total of 8 teeth and he loves to use them! He loves to carry little toys around in his teeth just like Honda. He loves real food too. He loves to eat whatever I am eating. I cannot have breakfast without him eating at the same time or he will eat all of my breakfast. Liam is a great eater too. He eats a full egg and clementine for breakfast almost every morning. He also loves meat, veggies, and fruit. I always know when he is loving his food because he squeals in excitement at each bite.

Liam's ticklish side has really come out as well. He is ticklish just like Taylor. Every part of the body. I love it and find it hilarious but that is probably because I am not ticklish at all.

Liam also LOVES to walk behind his little walker. He goes so fast and gets so excited. I keep hoping he will be a late walker but I think it is wishful thinking. He is a speed demon on it now though and can pull himself up on it without any help, which is good except he doesn't know how to turn it so he still gets stuck.

We had to lower the crib because finally realized he could stand up in his crib too. We definitely didn't want to hear the crash as he fell out one day. He is so sad in this picture because he wanted to sleep but sometimes learning and developing takes over. It's so hard to get big!

Lastly Liam had his first huge crash. He crawled over to the TV stand and pulled himself right up on it. He loves standing on all the furniture so now that he can crawl he can get to them all himself and he loves that. I had just finished using the Xbox to play my workout DVD so the drawer was out just a tiny bit to allow the Xbox to cool. Well Liam went from standing above the barely open drawer to trying to sit back down on the floor and hit his eyebrow right on the open glass part of the drawer. He instantly started crying. I grabbed him and he had blood all over his face! I felt so bad. I ran him to the sink and started washing it off but I couldn't get the cut to stop bleeding. I had to hold pressure on it, which is not the easiest thing for a child that HATES sitting still. Finally it stopped and I sent pics to Taylor and my mom. Neither thought he needed stitches so I just kept a close eye for a concussion and any more bleeding. I put tons of neosporin on it but he still has a scar. It is right in the eyebrow so I am hoping as he grows the hair will cover it, if the hair grows in that spot. We can only wait and see. I felt like a horrible mother but I have to admit it won't be his last cut, scrap, or bruise. He is an accident waiting to happen. Learning to walk and crawl is a recipe for lots of accidents but oh well. He's tough!
My first big owie!

And the bumps and bruises don't stop!
Crawled into the coffee table bump
hit the corner of something!

I love my little boy and wish he wasn't growing up so fast but I also am loving all the new things he is learning and doing. It is so much fun to watch him develop and learn. He always has this look of determination on his face when he sees something new because he loves to learn. He is going to give me a run for my money his whole life but I love it!
So proud of his standing abilities :)

This smile is to die for!

Loves to sit on your shoulders and pull your hair. Reason for the socks!

First time walking around his box to the table!

Liam stealing Honda's toy. He loves playing with Honda, Honda doesn't always share that love.
