I am officially addicted to pintrest.com. I absolutely love it! You can get great ideas for everything imaginable! Who knew, everything you could think of could be on one website! I have no idea how people are so creative! Avoid this website if you don't want an addiction!
This is one of my favorite things I have found, it was so so so sweet.

School has officially started!
So this fall I will be taking 18 credit hours and working 26 hours per week! It is going to be a super crazy semester for me, with a lot of stress and work. (Good thing Taylor is such a great husband and is willing to take a lot of the household duties away from me so I can concentrate on school!!)
After completing this first week of school I have realized two things, the first is that I have A LOT of papers to write, some will be easy, some will be a lot of work but all in all it is not going to be to difficult. The second thing I have decided is that I love the classes I am taking. I am enjoying doing my homework because it is fascinating and I am really enjoying what I am learning. I know that sounds totally crazy, especially because it has only been 1 week of classes. I hope I still feel this way in a couple of weeks when my papers and midterms come around.
I feel like I am going to learn such real world stuff, stuff I can use in my everyday life. I am really excited about the semester (at least for now) and I hope I continue to learn and be fascinated by the information I am being taught.
I really feel like this is a confirmation to my decision, of not going to nursing school. I loved all my pre-nursing class and really did enjoy all the information I learned. This semester is different though. I am excited to go to class and feel so happy when I leave school. I honestly feel like the classes I am taking this semester are going to make me a better person, a better parent, and hopefully I will be able to help others with the knowledge I am gaining.
Hopefully I feel like this in a couple weeks when things really start to get crazy and stressful! Here is to enjoying my senior year of college :)

And the decision is....
For the few people that read this blog, I figured you want want an answer to my last post about "Big Decision".
Well, after lots of fasting, prayer, thoughts, debate, and discussion, I have decided I will not be going to nursing school. This is probably the hardest decision I have ever made. I have worked my whole collegiate career on being a nurse. When I didn't get in this last year, I let that dream go, and choose to follow a different path.
The letter from Weber through everything for a loop and almost made me go crazy (literally!). But I believe that the Lord will direct your path in the way that is best if you put your faith in him! Well I took that to heart and put a lot of faith in Him. I honestly feel that I should stay on the path that I am on and follow the Lord's plan for me. As much as I want to be a nurse, it is not the right thing for me to pursue.
So instead I will be graduating in May with my BS degree in Human Development and Family Studies. Possibly pursuing Child Life after graduation. Though nursing has a better job market and much better pay, I know that one day I will touch someones life with my human development degree. Whether big or small this is the path I should be on.
I am grateful to my Heavenly Father for listening to my fasting and many prayers and helping guide my life in the direction I should be going. I love my Father in Heaven and I am so grateful I have Him to turn to in my times of need!
So here goes life with all the good and bad things that come with it! I am excited for the future and everything I will get to do and experience!

BIG decisions
Have you ever felt like you have the biggest decision of your life lying ahead of you and you have no idea which way to go? That is me right now.
This last Saturday I received a very unexpected letter in the mail. Taylor hands me a letter and said, "It's from Weber State Nursing". My initial thought was that it was about reapplying and all the other fun junk mail that you get. Well that was not the case. The letter said I had been accepted into the Weber State Associates Degree Nursing Program, starting January 2012. I was NOT expecting this. I had given up on being a nurse. I had completely accepted a new path of life and was very happily living it.
So now what do I do?! Do I continue on the path I am on now and the choices I have made and am looking forward to OR do I go after nursing school?
If I say on this path I could be done with college in May with my Bachelors of Science in Human Development and Family Studies. This is SOO intriguing because I could be done! And then I could continue on with my life and the other adventures that await!
If I go to nursing school, I will cram the last 6 classes (20 credit hours) into 1 semester, graduate with my BS in December and then start nursing school in January. The drive is long, it will be extremely stressful, and it would be at least another year! So instead of graduating May 2012, it would be May 2013. But I would be able to fulfill the goal I have worked my whole college career for, the goal I have wanted as long as I can remember, to be a nurse!
I have been agonizing over this ever since I opened the letter. I have shed many tears, talked to LOTS of people, prayed, fasted, and pondered which decision to make. I still have absolutely NO IDEA what path I should take. I honestly feel like I am trying to choose between two great choices, neither decision would be bad, neither path would be a bad choice. So I keep asking what should I do? Taylor and I have talked and talked and talked, every moment we are thinking about what we should do!
I am trying to trust in the Lord and follow His will, but how do you choose between two great paths. I feel like I have to choose a path and then the Lord will support me and let me know if I am right. I will continue to pray and fast and ponder my future... hopefully I can figure it out pretty quickly!
Any suggestions would be much appreciated!! Wish me luck :)

Oh My JULY!
Happy 4th of July! I can't believe June is already over! It was a great month but went by way to fast, summer usually does. Tay and I were able to do a lot of fun things. I was in school but it went well, it was our 3rd year anniversary and that was way fun, we went to Bear Lake with friends and that was a ton of fun (pictures to come!), and my sister-in-law had a beautiful baby girl name Ann Rebecca Maxfield! She is super cute!
And then comes July. I cannot even say how busy July is going to be for us. 8 days! In July I have a total of 8 days that does not have something scheduled yet. Here is the schedule:
July 4: family and fun!
July 5th-8th: Girls Camp for me, California for Taylor
July 9th: test / Powell Prep
July 10th-17th: Lake Powell
July 19th: Ward Bridal Shower
July 20th: Family Pictures/ Young Women's
July 21st: Bridal Shower for Katelyn!
July 27th-30th: Camping with Maxfields
This does not include any of the work, call, or homework. This is going to be a very very crazy month but I am very excited for all the fun and craziness. Lets just hope we survive!

Happy Three Year Anniversary!
Three years ago...
I cannot believe it has been three years! Time sure flies! We have accomplished so many things in the short three years that we have been married!
We went to the melting pot for dinner, and it is so delicious! Then we went boating on our actual anniversary. I loved it. Out in the sun, skiing and doing the sky ski, it was exactly what we wanted. We got a six man camping tent for our anniversary present. I am way excited to use it. We wanted something Honda could fit in and would last a long time. Taylor also got me some perfume and I am getting his College Diploma framed! It was a great anniversary.

Westminster Graduate!
Congratulations Taylor on graduating from Westminster College! I am so proud of you and all that you have accomplished. Taylor graduated with Magna Cum Lada, a 3.8 gpa, high honors, and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management.
He graduated at 1:45 pm on Saturday May 28th, 2011 at the Maverick Center. We went to Westminster first and took a couple of pictures in his cap and gown before heading to the Maverick center for the actual ceremony. Here are some of the pictures.
I am so proud of you sweetheart!
