7 Months!

I can't believe my little man is 7 months old! He has been growing and developing like crazy. A lot of people say they like the newborn stage but I like this stage. Seeing Liam grow and learn is so very much fun. I get so excited and cheer him on when he learns to do the littlest things. It's quite entertaining :) I look like a dumb but it is so exciting to go through all these new beginnings with my little man!

Liam is getting super big! He loves to stand and hold on to the table or his box of toys. It is so entertaining. He rolls over immediately to his belly every time he is put on his back but then he just sits on his tummy and kicks his legs as hard as he can. He hasn't figured out the crawling thing yet. He likes to scoot backwards but that is all he can do. Liam finally got teeth 3 & 4 this month too. I've been waiting for 2 months for these teeth to pop through and they finally did. It is so cute to see these tiny teeth but getting them is not so much fun! He loves playing in the water at bath time and this month I finally let him sit alone in the sink. He loved it and made a huge watery mess.
He loves the bath. It's all giggles and smiles until it's time to get out!

This was a really busy month, Christmas parties and family time all the time! Liam loved Christmas. We took him to meet Santa at STRAWS and he didn't mind him at all. We took lots of pictures and had lots of fun (mom and dad did, Liam just smiled and tried to pull Santa's beard.) I hope next year goes this well too :)! It was fun taking pictures because the Santa suit was my Grandpa Websters. I remember sitting on his lap as a child, of course I didn't know it was grandpa until later, and getting my picture taken every year. A little connection to Liam's great grandparents that he won't meet in this life.
Santa at STRAWS! Loved it!

We also had the grand children's Christmas party with Grammy Great Devries. Liam got sooo very spoiled just like his Grammy does every year. He got lots of toys and some clothes. He still didn't get the "how to open a present" idea but he loved trying to eat the paper! Grammy Great always does such a fun party for all the grand kids and does WAY to much for all of us!! The theme this year was the past, present, and future. We had activities, treats, and games and had lots of fun. Then we all decorated our homemade gingerbread houses! This is so much fun every year. I didn't get pictures because we are so wrapped up in the activities and fun. (I'll have to get the few pictures from Brent, he was the photographer for the day). We went to the Maxfield Christmas party and had fun. We decorated a  ornament each. We put paint on our fingers and put them onto the ornament. Doing this with a 7 month old was not easy but it turned out way cute! It'll be fun to have for all of our future Christmas trees.
A new toy to play with and love! Thanks Grammy Great!
We also did a Pinterest creation of homemade ornaments. We did Liam's hand and foot and we did Honda's paw. They turned out well but I forgot to make the hole so we could hang them so they are going to decorate around the tree or the house. It is fun to have memories and things to remember how little Liam really was.
For Christmas Eve we went to Grandma Great's house (grandma koch). We played a white elephant game and caught up with all the cousins. We ended up getting Lion King 2 on DVD as our gift. It was awesome! (We love when older cousins and family clean out their old toys so we can enjoy them!)

Christmas day was so much fun. We all got up and went and opened all of our presents! Liam of course got spoiled! He got 2 new outfits, a stacking ring toy, and a box that has a different toy on each side with another activity on the top! He loves it!
I LOVE Christmas! Some of my new toys :)

Then we went to Grandma and Grandpa Koch's. We all met at my parents at 10 (more like 11 because people are always late!). We ate a delicious breakfast and then read the story of Christ from the bible. I love Christmas traditions that I grew up with continuing on with my little family! Liam got another box which just meant more fun to be had. He also got super cute shoes and clothes. Taylor and I got stuff for emergency preparedness: a big water container, solar panel charger, and more. We were all spoiled. Tay and I gave a funny gift to Ben Anderton because he gave Taylor a monkey backpack last year (which I was not happy about ;). It was hilarious and Ben was a great sport. He even tried it on :)

Drivin around with cousin Diesel on cousin Levi's Christmas present!
Grandpa Dave and Liam snuggling! SO PRECIOUS!
 ahhhhhh BEN!!

Next we headed to Maxfield's. The pile of presents under the tree gets bigger every year. We tell Cherie to cut back but it never happens. We were spoiled with clothes, socks, books, and much more. Liam got a little walker and he loves it. It makes lots of noises and has fun songs and has lots of activities to do. It's scary how fast he will be walking (Maybe we will skip crawling because he hates being on his tummy and can't seem to figure it out). Uncle Jesse got surprised with a shotgun that Tay and I helped pick out. This is huge because Cherie is so anti-gun but he was excited and it was fun to see his reaction. Finally we headed to Grammy Great Devries and had dinner. We opened more presents, it's hard to convince her we don't need any, and played a few games.

My high school friends all got together too for a little party and it was awesome. Taryn, Tristan, MacKenzie, Katie, Megan, and I all had babies this year, with Hilary having one in April! We got all the kiddos together and it was so fun to catch up! It is insane what a year can do :)
Katie's little girl Maddie and Liam- next generation of friends :)

We went up to the Maxfield cabin and took Liam sledding for the first time. He LOVED it. We went pretty quickly on the sled and he'd fuss when ever we stopped. He even got a face full of snow and just wiped it off and kept on starring at everything around him. He loves to take it all in! He went on the snowmobiles up and down and he liked those as well. I think we have an adventurous little boy on our hands! Liam

Overall Christmas was great! I've always loved this time of year but experiencing Christmas with a child is SOO much fun. I can't wait until next year when Liam understands who Santa is and everything else.

We also went to Temple Square to see the lights and to remember the real meaning of Christ. Fortunately we choose a night that wasn't to frigid and headed down. Liam liked the lights but it wasn't as exciting to him. He liked the people. I enjoyed the Christmas spirit and fun of being in such a beautiful place and remembering the real reason of Christmas.
Christmas family picture!

Liam has loved playing with all of his toys and is really getting the hang of standing up on objects. He likes to try to pull himself up to the standing position with his box but the box isn't heavy enough so he just pulls it onto himself. Luckily I came up with the idea to ratchet strap it to the coffee table. Problem solved! he loves to stand behind his walker to and if I push just a little he takes a couple steps. Nothing to serious yet though.

Overall this month has been so busy with family and parties, work and all the Christmas fun. I am so grateful to have my own little family to enjoy all of the festivities with and to watch my little boy get bigger and bigger! Hopefully we will be crawling soon :)

Some 7 month pictures!

Honda's Christmas present... He loves his new (mom made) tempurpedic bed!
Look at this ADORABLE face!
